Caterham School celebrate top tier university places!






After an extremely successful 2012 with a string of excellent A-level results Caterham school have a reason to be boastful as our Bright World partner school looks ahead to a Bright 2013.

Over 85% of Caterham’s 2012 graduating students accepted their places at the UK’s top tier universities.
The top destinations included some of the following:

Cambridge, Imperial College, University College London, Durham, Warwick, Exeter.

Caterham School was founded in 1811 beginning life as an all boys school. In 1981, over a century later, the school opened its doors to female students, becoming dully co-educational in 1995.
Currently the senior school has 870 pupils of which 291 are in the sixth from.

Students Celebrate Outstanding Oxbridge Offers!




Students from Bright World partners, New Hall School, leading independent boarding and day school in Chelmsford, are celebrating after being offered places to study at the country’s top universities.

Jan Nedvidek has been offered an unconditional place to read Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Christ Church. Daniel Mullens, who joined New Hall in Year 7, has an offer from St Hugh’s College to read Classics. Given the exceptionally strong competition for Oxbridge places, this is a highly commendable achievement.

Moira House glow with pride as one of their girls joins an award winning cast in the Box Office smash, Les Miserables



Isabelle Allen from Bright World partner school was picked from a very large crowd of youngsters to star alongside the Hollywood A-List Cast of Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe and Amanda Seyfried.

The ten year old Moira House student plays, ‘Coisette,’ alongside ‘the Mayor,’ her on screen father figure, played by the brilliant Hugh Jackman.

The young star (photographed left with Headmistress, Lesley Watson) was spotted during a Moira House production of Pied Piper of Hamelin and later presented to casting Agents in London by the shows Director, Jeremy Taylor.
The Head of the National Youth Theatre was bawled over by Isabelle’s voice - getting her the audition of all auditions.

After being picked to star in the movie, Isabelle began filming along the other cast members at the prestigious Pinewood Studios in London.
Isabelle’s performance was highly praised by the Film’s Director leaving Moira House Headmistress, Lesley Watson in complete admiration for her young pupil;

We are all very proud of her and what she has already achieved,
she said,
but the most important thing is how much she is enjoying it.
It is lovely to see.

After her excellent performance in the film, Isabelle is set to star in the West End stage version of the play. 
Les Miserables has paved the way for more Hollywood roles for the young actress and we wish her well as she embarks on a bright future.

Bright Worlds' Director of Admissions lands in Beijing!



Our Placement department is missing the delights of Sheena Trist already, as our much loved Director of Admissions lands in Beijing to meet with several of our close partners based in the City. 
Her first meeting of the day is with Kian ANG, Director of ISSI. Sheena is pictured left with Kian and will be explaining how, like our other international partners, Kian can benefit from excellent FREE,. first hand advice.  
Sheena has spent the last decade developing invaluable with our partner schools, to help ensure we find the most suitable place for each of our students.  


Next Sheena visits Beijing Oxbridge Education Group. International Assistant, Lily Li is among the staff pictured below with Sheena.


Later on today, Sheena will stop by to see Grace Wang, our Regional Manager for China. The two will discuss the latest developments
on the UK Boarding School and University scene, so that Grace can relay all the news to those of our close partner Agents who would prefer to discuss matters in Chinese.

Preparations are also taking place for Bright Worlds' Directors, Lana and James Foster, as they prepare for the much anticipated
'Alphe Asia 2013.'
Lana and James will meet with prospective Agents', where they will explain why it is so crucial to employ an Aegis accredited  guardianship company such as Bright World guardianships. The Directors will also be informing NEW Agents about our  FREE placement service which can take some of the pain out of UK Boarding School and University placements.

Stover Preparatory School aim for Silver Status!



Stover Preparatory School presently holds a Bronze Eco-School Award and we are now aiming to reach Silver status in the coming year.

With this in mind, Mr. Appleby, together with Mr Futrell and Mr Ayer, have formed a working party and a pupil more ‘eco-friendly’.

On 30th November this Bright World partner School had its very first meeting with the children, where students’ discussed the role of the committee, and listened to pupils’ ideas on matters relating to the environment. The school also introduced The Pod (an invaluable learning resource) that can be used by adults and children alike.
In the new year the committee will be drawing up an action plan based on criteria for the silver award, from data gathered from Environmental Pupil Questionnaires and will complete a School Review. In addition, they will be drawing up an Eco-Charter, which will be displayed in the entrance hall.

Here at Bright World and at Stover we are all extremely excited about this new and important initiative and how it will increase pupil awareness of local and global issues.committee to put into practise Eco-initiatives. This will help the school reach its target of being even
