Fiona Walters and Lana Foster visit Rossall School
Recently, Fiona and Lana visited Rossall School and met with the Registrar,
Michelle Metcalf and other members of the team.
Lancashire is a new area for us
and Rossall School is an important new partner for
Bright World. We also went along with Liz Trist, our new Local
Coordinator for Lancashire.
You may recognise the surname - and yes, she is
related to our Director of Admissions Sheena who is her sister in law. We
are delighted to already be receiving guardianship student enrolments for Rossall School and are more than ready as Liz
has been doing a great job of inspecting new host families in the area.
We have some really lovely families all waiting and looking forward to hosting
our Rossall Guardianship students in the next academic year.

Stover School succeeds in abundance at Ten Tors 2012
Ten Tors
2012
One of Bright World's partner School's were made very proud at Ten Tors this year!
Stover School’s Team Managers Colin Brown and Amanda Head were very proud of all the pupils who took part in this year’s events. Anna-Mae Cole tackled the Jubilee Challenge JC3 event walking almost 13 miles to earn herself a gold medal and is now determined to have a go at an even more challenging route next year.
Stover’s 35 mile and 45 mile
teams crossed the finishing line within 20 minutes of each other and although
the strong sunshine but wet conditions underfoot had made for tough going at
times, they all certainly felt it had been worthwhile and for the younger
students taking part for the first time, it was the experience of a life time.
Jessica Doyle, 35 mile Team
Captain said, “It was harder than I had ever imagined, but to finish and see
everyone waiting for us was something I will never forget – it was
amazing!”
