Bright World present...BLINK!

To help improve our communication with clients overseas, Managing Director, Lana Foster has created BLINK, along with a local design agency and has recently employed Operations & Implementation Director, Avril Griffin to train the Head Office team before the new portal goes live later on this month.

" Director of Operations and Implementation "

Avril has come to us after 18 years of global experience in the International education industry. This includes her work for Study Group where Avril was instrumental to the building of International Study Centers at various Universities across the globe. Her extensive knowledge in our sector and specifically in operation systems, will be of paramount relevance when BLINK goes live!
So what will this change mean for you the Host Family?

Once the system goes live we will be looking at building a unique BLINK page for all Host Families in phase 2. Soon you will be able to access all the details relating to the students that you will Host. This information will include a detailed itinerary for the year ahead, along with all the important documents like the Host Family Charter, Host Family Handbook and information and advice on how to recognise Child Protection and Safeguarding issues. You will also be able to login and tell us when you are unavailable or when you are taking your summer holiday.
"
Following many years of change and growth at Bright World there has been

much development of the Access system as its functionality changes to keep pace with the needs of the business.
"

 "
Moving to a web based system will offer us more flexibility in how we interact

with our customers and each other. Once launched new developments can be

rolled out as needed, making us more responsive to the needs of the business and our customers.
"
Avril Griffin, Director of Operations & Implementation.

As part of the course there are a range of internationally recognized exams as well as a programme of regular internal assessments to track and monitor progress.
Education at Trinity is so much more than just what happens in the classroom. An integral part of the course are regular trips out of school to use and expand the students improving English. These are linked to the themes within the 3 semesters.

In addition to this specialist curriculum students on the Foundation course will also take part in whole Sixth Form activities - regular games and sport afternoon, Life Skills sessions as well as being part of a Lower Sixth tutor group.

Stover School feels the heat!

Bright World Partners, Stover School have become more environmentally friendly with the installation of a whole school biomass boiler heating system, supported by Lloyds TSB Commercial Banking.

Stover School, founded in 1932, is an independent co-educational day and Boarding school for age ranges 3 to 18 years set in 64 acres of parkland.  The school benefits from the historic buildings that were part of the original Stover Estate as well as modern building added by the school more recently. The ever increasing cost of energy led the school to convert to using green technology and Biomass Boilers rather than remain reliant on fossil fuels and5D Energy Group were commissioned to install the two biomass boilers and over 600 metres of underground pipework.

The biomass project at Stover School has been approved by Ofgem under the renewable heat incentive scheme and the school will benefit from regular payments under this scheme. The installation is one of the largest installations of its kind in the region and represents a major investment by Stover School in green technology..

The school approached Lloyds TSB Commercial Banking, which has previously extended finance for a new sports pavilion and also provides a working capital facility. Plans are now also in place to extend the school’s boarding facilities to to provide additional facilities for boys.

Henry Cummins, head of finance and operations at Stover School, said: “The new biomass boilers are making a huge difference to the school and the environment.  By using wood chip instead of oil or gas, we are less susceptible to price increases and we can keep bills down, meaning the savings can be used to invest in the school. The project has also proved very popular with all parts of the school and complements schools membership of the national eco school programme.
